Technical Project Manager

For one of my customer we are looking for a Technical Project Manager.Location: Europe(100% remote)Duration: 3+ months renewableDescription: We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead the coordination and definition of the global architecture for a strategic AI initiative. This role is pivotal in aligning technical stakeholders, defining system and data requirements, and driving the delivery of a cohesive architecture that supports real-time analytics, AI, and Generative AI capabilities while facing the challenge of export control regulations we must cope with (Dual Use / Military Use data).The TPM will serve as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that all architectural components from data pipelines to model deployment—are aligned with business objectives and technological best practices.
Responsibilitie:Project Management:Develop and maintain a detailed project plan with clear milestones.Coordinate and manage the actions of different architects & stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of architectural blueprints and supporting documentation on time, on budget, on quality.Identify and manage risks, issues, and interdependencies.Define the Target Architecture:Collaborate with Solution, AI, and Data Architects to outline the high-level architecture.Ensure the architecture supports AI and Gen AI use cases, as well as real-time (NRT) analytics while being compliant with the exigences of the regulations to cope with.Document architectural decisions, trade-offs, and dependencies.Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Coordination:Facilitate workshops with technical stakeholders (Data Architect, AI Architect, Solution Architect, DevOps, etc.) and the Product Manager to capture functional and non-functional requirements.Translate business needs into technical specifications.Cloud & Infrastructure Oversight:Ensure alignment with cloud best practices in Azure and/or AWS.Integrate cloud-native services for data storage, compute, ML/AI pipelines, and security.Communication & Reporting:Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.Maintain clear documentation for architectural decisions and deliverables.
Skills:Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager in complex data or AI projects.Experience working with or leading cross-functional teams, including AI/ML engineers, data architects, and DevOps.Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS) and their AI and analytics services.Familiarity with Near Real-Time (NRT) data pipelines and event-driven architectures.Familiarity with export control technology regulations & policiesUnderstanding of AI/Gen AI workflows (e.g., data preparation, model training, inference, model governance).Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.Agile/SAFe project management methodology experience is a plus.Technical background (engineering, computer science, or related field) preferred.
Deliverables:Architecture Blueprint – High-level global architecture diagram including data, AI, infrastructure, and security components.Requirements Specification – Documented functional and non-functional requirements.Stakeholder Matrix – Roles and responsibilities of involved technical and product stakeholders.Roadmap & Project Plan – Timeline of milestones, dependencies, and delivery phases.Risk & Dependency Log – Identified risks and external/internal dependencies.Final Presentation Deck – Summary of target architecture, rationale, and alignment with business goals.
